Hey there 👋
I'm Cuong!
PhD Student @ The University of Texas at Dallas

I am a PhD Student at The University of Texas at Dallas, working under the supervision of Prof. Tien N. Nguyen. My research focuses on three interconnected areas:

  • Applying AI/ML to software engineering tasks at the large-scale repository level
  • Exploring if/how Large Language Models (LLMs) understand and reason about program behavior
  • And then building code world models that can capture program dynamic behavior better and optimize software development processes
Portrait of Cuong

Previously, I was a full-time researcher in the FPT AI Residency Program, a prestigious talent program for young Vietnamese researchers that spans 2 years. The program offers access to high-performance computing resources and world-class mentorship, with a focus on publishing in top-tier venues with a competitive acceptance rate of ~3-4%.
